Throughout the past year, Lex and his beagle, Rocksy, have attended over forty events throughout Illinois raising funds for his dog’s heart condition by selling rocks, and now is your chance to help them out! “These valentines are a small token of our appreciation for the great service and sacrifice our veterans made to protect us and keep us safe," Parkhurst said. “This is the fourth year for this program and so far it overwhelmingly inspires our residents to show their love by giving back to our veterans who gave so much for us.”

The state’s unemployment rate is +0.2 percentage points higher than the national unemployment rate reported for December 2019, which was 3.5 percent, unchanged from the previous month. The Illinois unemployment rate was down -0.6 percentage point from a year ago when it was 4.3 percent.
