Target announced today the retailer would dedicate the first hour of shopping each Wednesday beginning March 18th to vulnerable guests nationwide, including seniors and those with underlying health conditions. Beginning Wednesday, all targets will close at 9 pm to allow additional time for restock and cleaning services.

Berkot’s Super Foods announced in a message Monday they would begin instituting limits on food per household due to the outbreak of COVID-19. The Store also announced an hours change to 8am to 8pm daily.

"I am ordering all K-12 to close and cease in-person instruction for the duration of the 2019-2020 semester," said Kelly during a press conference Tuesday. "The reality of this pandemic is that it cannot be controlled statewide if school buildings return to normal operations,"

In a open letter to citizens issued late tonight, Mayor Mayor Wells-Armstrong asked citizens to stop spreading rumors, offered condolences and reinforced how vulnerable the elderly are at this time, including those in nursing homes.

The move was made due to the average population the office serves, older Americans with underlying medical conditions, who are most susceptible to COVID-19. The Social Security Offices will remain providing critical servies to the public both by phone and online.
