According to the National Weather Service in Lubbock, Tuesday’s high will climb to 83°F under partly sunny skies, but a 40% chance of thunderstorms develops by late evening. Storms are more likely after 10 p.m., continuing into the overnight hours with a 60% chance of precipitation. Winds will shift southeast to north between 5 and 10 mph.

This marks the most significant rain threat of the week, and while severe weather isn’t guaranteed, residents should avoid unnecessary travel during active storms and ensure mobile devices are fully charged in case of power disruptions.

Looking ahead, Wednesday will stay unsettled with a continued storm chance and a high near 82°F. Thunderstorms remain possible Wednesday night before clearing by Thursday. Heat will then build into the weekend with sunny skies and highs climbing into the low 90s by Friday and Saturday.
