Pueblo, CO – Residents across southern Colorado can expect a mix of sunshine and snow as the weekend approaches, with temperatures fluctuating between mild afternoons and frigid nights. Today’s forecast includes abundant sunshine, with highs near 40°F, but a storm system will bring increased snow chances on Saturday.

According to the National Weather Service in Pueblo, the region will see mostly sunny skies today, with wind chills dipping as low as 0°F in the morning before warming up slightly by the afternoon. A change arrives Saturday afternoon when a mix of rain and snow could impact travel along major routes, including I-25 and Highway 50.

Snowfall on Saturday night is expected to bring light accumulation, generally under 2 inches. The highest snowfall amounts are forecasted for mountain areas such as the Sangre de Cristo Range. Freezing temperatures will persist through the weekend, with lows dropping to single digits Sunday night.

The extended outlook shows a return to sunshine early next week, with Monday’s high near 36°F and clear skies through Tuesday. Despite warmer days, drivers should remain cautious of icy roads overnight due to continued low temperatures.

Stay prepared by dressing in layers and checking road conditions before travel. For snow updates or delays, monitor local advisories and use caution on mountain passes.
