Eugene, OR – Western Oregon is set for improving weather conditions this week as rain exits the Willamette Valley and warmer, sunnier weather develops through Friday before another round of showers arrives this weekend.
According to the National Weather Service, showers will continue overnight into Wednesday morning across the Eugene area before skies gradually clear during the afternoon. High temperatures Wednesday are expected to reach around 66 degrees with occasional southwest wind gusts up to 18 mph.
Drier and warmer conditions settle into the region Thursday as temperatures climb into the lower 70s under mostly sunny skies. Forecasters say Thursday is expected to be one of the warmest and brightest days of the upcoming week.
Partly sunny conditions continue Friday with highs in the upper 60s before a wetter weather pattern returns Saturday. Rain is likely Saturday morning and afternoon with highs cooling back to around 60 degrees across Lane County and surrounding areas.
Light rain chances may linger Saturday night before sunshine and milder temperatures return Sunday into early next week. Highs are expected to rebound into the mid-60s Sunday before climbing into the low-to-mid 70s Monday and Tuesday.
Residents planning outdoor activities later this week should expect the best weather Thursday and Friday before showers move back into western Oregon this weekend.
