Eureka, CA – Coastal northern California will remain cool and breezy through the next seven days as persistent marine air keeps temperatures near 60 degrees across the Eureka area.
According to the National Weather Service, scattered showers may linger overnight before skies gradually clear Wednesday afternoon. High temperatures are expected to reach around 60 degrees with light northwest winds increasing later in the day.
Cloud cover returns Wednesday night before partly sunny conditions develop Thursday. Winds are expected to strengthen through the end of the week, with gusts reaching up to 25 mph Friday as cooler coastal air continues flowing into Humboldt County.
Forecasters say the breeziest conditions are expected Saturday and Sunday as northwest winds increase along the coastline. Despite the gusty weather, mainly dry conditions are expected through the weekend with temperatures holding in the upper 50s.
Nighttime temperatures are forecast to remain cool, dropping into the mid-to-upper 40s each night across the region.
Looking ahead, slightly warmer and sunnier weather could arrive early next week as highs climb back into the lower 60s by Monday and Tuesday.
Residents along the coast should prepare for gusty afternoon winds, especially near beaches and exposed roadways where stronger crosswinds may develop.
