Seattle, WA – A wet and unsettled weather pattern will continue across western Washington this week as multiple rounds of rain move through the Seattle area before slightly drier conditions return early next week.
According to the National Weather Service, rain is expected overnight into Wednesday morning with periods of steady precipitation continuing through much of the day. High temperatures Wednesday will remain cool, reaching only around 62 degrees across downtown Seattle and surrounding King County communities.
Forecasters say Thursday will provide the best opportunity for partial sunshine this week, with highs again near 62 degrees. However, clouds and additional rain chances quickly return Thursday night as another Pacific weather system approaches the region.
Rain is likely again Friday with temperatures cooling into the upper 50s. Showers are expected to continue Friday night into Saturday, with isolated thunderstorms also possible during the afternoon hours Saturday across portions of western Washington.
Conditions begin improving Sunday as rain chances gradually decrease and partial sunshine returns. Temperatures are expected to slowly rebound into the low-to-mid 60s by early next week.
Drivers across the Seattle metro area should prepare for wet roads, reduced visibility, and slower commutes through the remainder of the workweek, especially during heavier periods of rainfall.
