North Carolina Weather This Week: Raleigh Near 93 Degrees by Sunday

Raleigh, NC – A long stretch of sunny and increasingly hot weather is expected across the Raleigh-Durham area through next week, with temperatures climbing into the lower 90s by Sunday and continuing into early next week.

According to the National Weather Service, Wednesday will bring sunny skies and comfortable spring warmth with highs near 79 degrees. Winds will remain relatively light through the afternoon, creating favorable conditions for outdoor activities across central North Carolina.

A slight chance of isolated showers arrives Wednesday night, though forecasters say rain coverage will remain very limited. Overnight lows are expected to dip to around 57 degrees before drier air moves back into the region Thursday.

Sunshine quickly returns Thursday with highs near 73 degrees and cooler overnight temperatures dropping to around 50 degrees Thursday night. The warming trend resumes Friday with highs approaching 78 degrees under mostly sunny skies.

By the weekend, temperatures will surge well above average. Saturday is expected to reach near 88 degrees with abundant sunshine, while Sunday could climb to around 93 degrees across parts of the Triangle.

The hot pattern continues into early next week with highs remaining in the lower 90s Monday and Tuesday. Forecasters currently expect mostly dry conditions throughout the extended forecast period.
