Virginia Beach, VA – A mostly dry and increasingly warm weather pattern is expected across Virginia Beach and the Hampton Roads region through next week, with temperatures climbing well into the 80s by the weekend.
According to the National Weather Service, Wednesday will bring sunny skies and pleasant spring conditions with highs near 73 degrees. South winds could gust up to 25 mph during the afternoon along the coast and inland portions of southeastern Virginia.
Forecasters say the only notable rain chance arrives Wednesday night into early Thursday morning as a weak system brings isolated showers across the region. Rainfall totals are expected to remain light, with most locations receiving less than a tenth of an inch.
Thursday will remain partly unsettled early before skies gradually improve later in the day. High temperatures are expected to reach near 70 degrees with breezy northwest winds developing during the afternoon.
Dry and sunny weather quickly returns Friday and continues into the weekend. Highs are forecast to climb into the mid-70s Friday before warming into the mid-80s Saturday and Sunday across Virginia Beach, Norfolk, Chesapeake, and surrounding Hampton Roads communities.
The warming trend continues into early next week with highs remaining in the low-to-mid 80s through Tuesday under mostly sunny skies.
