Fort Worth, Texas – Texans across the Dallas-Fort Worth area can expect hot and breezy conditions through Sunday as temperatures climb into the mid-90s and wind gusts reach up to 30 mph.

According to the National Weather Service in Fort Worth, south winds of 10–20 mph will persist throughout the weekend, bringing gusts of 25–30 mph across North, Central, and East Texas. Highs will range from 90°F to 96°F in cities like Killeen, Waco, Canton, and Paris through Sunday night.

The workweek will bring more of the same: humid air, daily highs in the mid-90s, and overnight lows holding in the mid-70s. A low chance of isolated afternoon showers and storms may develop each day next week, especially in East and Central Texas, but widespread rain is unlikely.

Drivers should use caution during peak heat hours and secure outdoor items that could be affected by gusty winds. Power grid strain is possible during peak demand hours—residents are encouraged to reduce usage in the afternoon.

These conditions are expected to continue through Friday. More detailed updates may follow if thunderstorm activity increases.
