Strong Thunderstorm Warning Issued for Levy County, Florida

Levy County, FL – A strong thunderstorm is moving through Levy County early Monday morning, bringing wind gusts up to 50 mph.

According to the National Weather Service in Tampa Bay, the storm was located 21 miles south of Fowlers Bluff at 5:27 a.m. EDT, moving northeast at 55 mph. Potential hazards include strong winds capable of knocking down tree limbs and blowing around unsecured objects.

Affected areas include Williston Highlands, Bronson, Chiefland, and Manatee Springs State Park. Residents are advised to seek shelter indoors and secure loose items.
