Salt Lake City, UT – Summer-like warmth is expected across Salt Lake City this week before cooler air returns during the weekend alongside renewed chances for showers and thunderstorms.
According to the National Weather Service, Wednesday will bring partly sunny skies and highs near 90 degrees across the Salt Lake Valley. Isolated showers and thunderstorms could develop between noon and 3 p.m., though most areas are expected to remain dry.
Forecasters say lingering thunderstorm chances may continue into Wednesday evening before skies clear overnight with lows dropping to around 50 degrees.
A cooler but sunny pattern settles in Thursday and Friday. High temperatures are expected to reach the low 70s Thursday before warming back into the low 80s Friday under mostly clear skies and light winds.
Saturday remains mild and mostly sunny with highs around 75 degrees, creating favorable conditions for outdoor activities across northern Utah.
Another weather shift arrives Sunday as cooler temperatures and additional shower and thunderstorm chances return to the region. Highs could fall back into the low 60s by Sunday and Monday, well below the midweek peak.
