Portage, MI – Road closures are scheduled in Portage starting Friday as crews complete the final paving on Portage Road. Work on the west side of the road between Fairfield Road and Romence Road Parkway will begin at 6 p.m. Friday and is expected to cause significant traffic disruptions. East Milham Avenue will be closed at Portage Road, with detours in place.
According to the Portage Department of Public Safety, both northbound and southbound lanes on Portage Road will remain open through the East Milham Avenue intersection. Motorists are advised to follow detour routes or find alternative paths to avoid delays. The work is dependent on weather conditions.
