Pennsylvania – A gray, overcast sky hangs over Pittsburgh this morning as cold air grips the region and flurries drift across the hills. At 27 degrees, wind chills sit near 20, and untreated sidewalks feel slick underfoot. Commuters are watching for patchy snow as another February chill settles in.

According to the National Weather Service in Pittsburgh, scattered snow showers will move through mainly before early afternoon. Little accumulation is expected, generally less than a half inch, but brief bursts could dust bridges and overpasses. Highs reach near 37 degrees, keeping roads mostly wet but cold enough for isolated icy spots.

Drivers along I-376, I-79, and Route 28 should allow extra time, especially on elevated ramps. Even light snow can create slippery stretches when pavement temperatures hover near freezing. With clearing tonight and lows near 19 degrees, any leftover moisture may refreeze. This is prime flash freeze territory, particularly on shaded roads.

Tuesday turns brighter with partial sunshine and a high near 36. Clouds increase Tuesday night as temperatures rise toward 30. By Wednesday, rain and snow develop before 10 a.m., then transition mainly to rain by afternoon. Highs climb to 44 degrees, signaling a noticeable shift.

Thursday keeps rain chances in play with highs in the mid-40s. By Saturday, sunshine returns and temperatures surge toward the upper 50s. Longer-range trends point to above-normal readings into early March, offering real spring vibes after this wintry stretch.

Five Day Outlook for Pittsburgh, PA
Tuesday: Partly sunny, high 36°F.
Wednesday: Rain and snow early, high 44°F.
Thursday: Rain likely, high 46°F.
Friday: Mostly sunny, high 44°F.
Saturday: Sunny, high 58°F.
