St. Louis, MO – Multiple rounds of showers and thunderstorms are expected across Missouri today, with severe weather possible in some areas.
According to the National Weather Service in St. Louis, isolated hail up to 1 inch in diameter is possible during morning storms. A brief lull is expected late morning before more widespread thunderstorms develop this afternoon and continue into the evening. Some storms could produce damaging winds up to 60 mph and a brief, weak tornadocannot be ruled out.
The greatest severe weather risk is expected between 12 p.m. and 6 p.m., with strong winds and hail being the primary threats. The tornado potential remains very low, but residents should stay weather-aware.
