Baldwin, MI – A Baldwin man was killed Tuesday afternoon after allegedly jumping in front of a moving truck, according to the Lake County Sheriff’s Office.
Authorities responded to Michigan Avenue and Sixth Street around 3:24 p.m. for a reported hit-and-run. Deputies found a 58-year-old man lying in the roadway. Life-saving efforts were attempted, but he was pronounced dead at the scene.
Investigators determined the incident appeared to be an accident. However, the driver, a 27-year-old man from White Cloud, was arrested for driving with a suspended license causing death.
