Lombard, Ill. — The Village of Lombard announced there would be a series of asphalt road improvements beginning the week of June 9.

Schroeder Asphalt Services, the Village of Lombard’s contractor, will begin the week of June 9 until August, weather permitting. Drivers should expect temporary delays at construction areas. This project includes milling and resurfacing streets, installing ADA-required sidewalk ramps and repairing concrete curbs and sidewalks as needed.

Streets scheduled for resurfacing include Addison Avenue, Cambria Lane North and South, Craig Place, Goebel Drive and LeMoyne Avenue. Also scheduled are Lombard Avenue, Martha Street, Stewart Avenue, Sunset Avenue and Wilson Avenue. Some road locations are scheduled for full-depth patching. More information on the resurfacing and full-depth patching projects can be found online. Residents can also find a full map of road closures.

The road improvements are part of the Village’s efforts to enhance road safety and accessibility, as well as overall driving conditions.
