West Chicago, Ill. — The CN in West Chicago is making repairs to two railroad crossings for the weeks of June 9 and June 16.
The improvements made to the railroad crossing at Church Street will start at 9:00 a.m. Monday. The project is projected to be finished by Friday, June 13, weather permitting. For the duration of the week, the railroad tracks will be closed. A detour will be in place to direct traffic from the crossing to Lyman, Ann and Wood Streets.
Additionally, the CN will make repairs to the railroad crossing at Ann Street. Immediately following the construction at Church Street crossing, work is anticipated to begin the week of Monday, June 16, and projected to finish by Friday, June 20. The same detour for the Church Street crossing will be used for Ann Street, but in the opposite direction. A map of the detours for both railroad crossings for both weeks can be found online.
