Oswego, IL – A group of masked suspects allegedly broke into a business early Friday morning on Douglas Road in Oswego, prompting a police investigation and a search for the individuals involved.
According to the Oswego Police Department, officers responded at approximately 5:47 a.m. to a burglary alarm at a store located at 1154 Douglas Rd. Upon arrival, officers found the front door smashed in. Witnesses informed authorities that four masked men were seen leaving the store with an undisclosed amount of merchandise.
The suspects reportedly fled the scene in a gray Hyundai sedan, last observed heading northbound on Douglas Road. Police conducted a search of the surrounding area but were unable to locate the vehicle or the individuals.
The incident remains under investigation as authorities work to identify the suspects. Police have not yet disclosed the specific items stolen or the total value of the merchandise.
Oswego Police are urging anyone with information regarding the burglary to contact them at 630-551-7300. Anonymous tips can also be submitted to Kendall County Crime Stoppers at 630-553-5999. Tips leading to an arrest may be eligible for a reward of up to $1,000.
