Kenosha, WI – A 16-year-old boy was fatally struck by a vehicle while jogging in Paddock Lake on Friday. The crash happened at the intersection of STH 50 and STH 83 at 4:04 p.m.
According to the Kenosha County Sheriff’s Department, the teen was a Westosha Central High School student. He suffered severe injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. Flight for Life transported him to a Milwaukee hospital, but efforts to save him failed. The teen’s name has not been released.
Authorities stated the 23-year-old driver was traveling through a green light when the teen was hit. The driver stayed on scene and cooperated with the investigation. The Sheriff’s Department confirmed speed and impairment were not factors.
The Kenosha Sheriff’s Department extended its condolences to the family. The investigation is ongoing, and no further details are available at this time.
