Denver, CO – Scattered snow showers and below-average temperatures will affect Colorado’s mountain regions and nearby counties through Monday, creating hazardous driving conditions. Wind gusts between 15-30 mph and icy roadways will challenge drivers, especially along I-70 and mountain passes.

According to the National Weather Service in Boulder, snow showers are expected throughout Sunday evening, with clearer skies over the plains. Highs in Denver will remain near 38 degrees today, dropping to a frigid 10 degrees tonight. Travelers are urged to drive cautiously in areas experiencing snowfall and to check road conditions before heading out.

On Monday, sunny skies will return to Denver, with a high of 36 degrees and calm winds, improving conditions for commuters. However, much colder temperatures and snow are forecast to return Friday night, possibly affecting weekend travel.

Looking ahead, highs will gradually rise into the 40s and 50s midweek, with Wednesday forecasted to hit 49 degrees. Thursday will see a peak at 54 degrees, offering some relief before another cold front approaches.

Residents should take precautions against freezing temperatures overnight, particularly in the mountain areas, where lows will hover in the single digits. Stay updated with local alerts for potential weather impacts throughout the week.
