Buffalo, NY – A confirmed tornado touched down in Wyoming County Wednesday evening, leaving behind a narrow but impactful damage path that may still affect travel and cleanup operations in the Farmersville area.

According to the National Weather Service in Buffalo, an EF-0 tornado struck the Town of Farmersville between 8:16 p.m. and 8:18 p.m. Wednesday. The storm carved a 0.23-mile path with a maximum width of 75 yards and peak winds reaching 80 mph.

Damage was localized but significant within the short track. Downed tree limbs and scattered debris may still be present along rural roads near Farmersville, potentially slowing traffic and requiring caution for drivers. No widespread power outages have been reported, but isolated utility disruptions remain possible where trees impacted lines.

Emergency crews and local officials may continue cleanup efforts through the evening, particularly along smaller county routes. Residents are urged to avoid damaged areas, watch for falling branches, and report any lingering hazards to local authorities.

No additional tornado activity is expected in the immediate term, but officials will continue to assess storm damage. Further updates may be issued if additional impacts are confirmed or if recovery operations expand.
