Alabama Spring Weather: Warmer Days Ahead for Huntsville With Storms Possible by Thursday

Huntsville, AL — A stretch of mild spring weather is on the way for northern Alabama, with sunny skies and warming temperatures expected through midweek. However, rain and thunderstorms could impact plans by late Thursday into the weekend.

According to the National Weather Service, Tuesday will bring sunny skies and a high near 73°F. Winds will be light from the west, creating a pleasant spring day. Tuesday night will remain clear with temperatures dropping to the mid-40s.

By Wednesday, Huntsville will see even warmer conditions, reaching 75°F with continued sunshine. However, by Wednesday night, cloud cover increases, and a 30% chance of showers moves in after midnight.

Rain chances increase significantly by Thursday, with a 60% likelihood of showers and possible thunderstorms, especially in the afternoon. The high will reach 69°F before temperatures dip to 55°F overnight. Travelers on I-565 and Highway 72 should prepare for potential wet road conditions.

Heading into the weekend, storm chances remain high. Friday night could bring additional showers and thunderstorms, with a 60% chance of precipitation. Saturday sees the heaviest rainfall, with a 90% chance of storms. Some areas may experience heavy downpours.

By Sunday, conditions improve, with sunshine and a high of 65°F. Residents should stay updated on changing forecasts and plan accordingly for the wetter end to the week.
