3.0 Magnitude Earthquake Strikes Near Pistol River, Oregon

Pistol River, OR – A 3.0 magnitude earthquake struck six kilometers east of Pistol River early Tuesday. No reports of damage or injuries have surfaced.

The Pacific Northwest Seismic Network reported the quake occurred at 12:12 a.m. UTC at a depth of 7.2 kilometers. Seismic activity of this size typically causes little to no structural damage.

Authorities encourage residents to report any shaking they experienced. Scientists use this data to refine earthquake impact models.
