Firefighters Battle Intense Evanston House Fire, Cause Under Investigation

Evanston, IL – Firefighters responded to a house fire early Thursday morning in the 2100 block of Jackson Avenue. Crews arrived to find flames consuming the first and second floors.

Firefighters launched an aggressive interior attack, bringing the fire under control in 30 minutes. Due to the fire’s severity, officials escalated the incident to a MABAS Box Alarm – 2nd Level, ensuring adequate resources.

Two residents evacuated safely, and no injuries were reported among civilians or firefighters. Investigators are treating the fire as suspicious.

Authorities urge anyone with information to contact Evanston Fire Department at 847-448-4311. Residents can also dial 3-1-1 for non-emergency assistance.
