Economic and Community Development Agency is Seeking Feedback for Housing, Non-Housing and Homelessness Needs in the Community

Kankakee, IL – Kankakee’s Economic and Community Development Agency (ECDA) is asking Kankakee residents for feedback regarding housing, non-housing and homelessness needs throughout the community. The Kankakee ECDA is required to provide a concise summary of the nature and extent of these needs. A survey, one for each topic, is available for residents to complete. This information will be used to help establish priorities in the City of Kankakee for the next five years.

Manteno Oktoberfest saved with help from Bourbonnais, Community

Saturday morning the Manteno Chamber Board of Directors, Mayor and Police Department met for an emergency meeting to decide what to do to salvage the festivities. “The consensus was that we would rebuild and continue the fest.
