Maryland – A cool, damp breeze drifts off the Inner Harbor this morning as drizzle dots sidewalks and headlights reflect off slick pavement. Temperatures hover in the low 40s, and patchy fog lingers in spots, making for a gray start across Baltimore.

Showers increase through the day, especially after midday. Highs reach near 51 degrees, but steady clouds keep it feeling brisk. Roads along I-95 and I-83 may turn slick at times. Plan extra travel time and keep headlights on in heavier showers.

Rain becomes more widespread tonight, and periods of steady rainfall continue into Thursday. Highs Thursday climb to near 57 degrees with showers likely through much of the day. By Thursday night, rain remains likely and could be moderate at times.

Friday offers a brief break with only a 30% chance of showers and a high near 56. Skies stay mostly cloudy. Then a noticeable warmup arrives Saturday. Highs jump to around 74 degrees with a chance of afternoon showers.

Sunday cools slightly with a high near 67 and a small shower chance. Early next week trends milder and brighter. Sunshine returns Monday with highs near 69, followed by lower 70s Tuesday. Spring warmth is building as we move deeper into March.

Clocks spring ahead at 2 a.m. Sunday, March 8. Longer daylight and a warming pattern are ahead, but saturated ground means ponding is possible in heavier rain.

Five Day Outlook for Baltimore, MD:
Today: Showers likely, high 51.
Thursday: Showers, high 57.
Friday: Chance of showers, high 56.
Saturday: Chance of showers, high 74.
Sunday: Partly sunny, high 67.
