Ohio – A gray curtain of rain hangs over Columbus this morning, and mist clings to windshields along I-70 and I-71. Temperatures sit near 48 degrees with patchy fog, but steadier rain is already moving through central Ohio.

The National Weather Service warns that additional rounds of showers and thunderstorms will track across the region through tonight. Some storms could produce brief downpours. Minor flooding issues may develop in low-lying spots and poor drainage areas.

Expect periods of rain through the day with a high near 57 degrees. Thunderstorms become more likely later, especially toward evening. Water may pool quickly on highways, so slow down and allow extra braking distance.

Rain continues tonight and into Thursday. Thursday turns soggy with widespread rain and storms, pushing highs near 67. Rainfall could be moderate at times, increasing the flooding concern.

Friday brings a noticeable warmup. Highs climb to around 76 degrees with a chance of lingering showers before drier air gradually moves in. Saturday turns active again with rain likely and highs in the lower 70s.

By Sunday, skies clear and temperatures rebound near 81 degrees under mostly sunny skies. Early next week trends warm but calmer, with highs in the upper 60s Monday and mid-70s Tuesday.

Clocks spring ahead at 2 a.m. Sunday, March 8. Longer daylight and rising temperatures signal early March Spring Weather, but saturated ground means any heavy rain could still cause issues.
