South Carolina – Low clouds hang over the Upstate this morning, but the air already feels different. Temperatures sit near 51 degrees under an overcast sky, and calm winds keep it quiet across Greenville-Spartanburg and into Charlotte.

Clouds gradually thin as the day unfolds. Sunshine takes over by afternoon, and highs surge into the mid-70s. Expect a pleasant, mild feel on I-85 and I-77 with dry pavement and improving visibility.

This is the start of a notable March warm spell. Thursday turns partly sunny with highs near 77. A light southwest breeze develops, occasionally gusting near 18 mph.

By Friday, Spring Warmth peaks. Highs climb to around 81 degrees with only a slight chance of an afternoon shower. Most communities stay dry, and outdoor plans should be in good shape.

Saturday brings another 81-degree afternoon with a 30% chance of showers developing later in the day. Clouds increase Saturday night, and scattered showers remain possible into early Sunday.

Sunday features mostly cloudy skies with a 50% chance of showers and perhaps a thunderstorm after midday. Highs hold near 80 before slightly cooler air filters in early next week.

Monday trends partly sunny with highs in the upper 70s. Tuesday keeps the warm pattern intact with lower 80s possible again. Above-normal temperatures continue through the 6–10 day outlook, reinforcing early spring vibes across the Carolinas.

Clocks spring ahead at 2 a.m. Sunday, March 8. We gain extra evening daylight and nearly 70 more minutes of sun by month’s end.
