Philadelphia, Pennsylvania – A cold front is moving through the region this morning, bringing scattered showers and keeping temperatures in the mid-60s, with additional rain chances building that could affect travel by early next week.
According to the National Weather Service in Mount Holly, skies will gradually clear this afternoon after morning rain tapers off, but isolated showers may redevelop later in the day. High temperatures will range from 63°F in Atlantic City to about 66°F in Philadelphia and Trenton, a few degrees below seasonal averages.
Across eastern Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Delaware, roads including I-95, I-76, and the New Jersey Turnpike may remain damp through the afternoon, especially during brief showers. Commuters should watch for reduced visibility and slick conditions during any passing rain.
The pattern shifts into the weekend with cooler air holding highs mostly in the upper 50s to low 60s. By Saturday, rain chances increase to 40–50%, especially in southern New Jersey and Delaware. Conditions improve slightly Sunday before a wetter stretch develops.
Rain chances rise sharply to 60–70% by Tuesday and Wednesday across cities including Philadelphia, Reading, Wilmington, and Toms River. Periods of rain could slow travel and impact outdoor plans during the midweek period.
Conditions remain unsettled into next week, with additional updates expected as rain coverage and timing become clearer.
