Wisconsin – Headlights glow through thick fog and damp air clings to the ground as visibility drops to just a quarter mile across Milwaukee, already slowing the morning drive.

According to the National Weather Service in Sullivan, a Dense Fog Advisory remains in effect through mid-morning, while a Flood Watch and Hazardous Weather Outlook signal a shift toward stronger storms later today into tonight. Visibility has been reduced to around 0.25 miles, especially near Lake Michigan and along I-94, I-43, and surface streets across Milwaukee County .

Conditions improve slightly by midday as fog lifts, but the atmosphere reloads quickly. Showers and thunderstorms are expected to develop after late afternoon, with a 70% chance of rain into the evening. Some storms could become severe, producing gusty winds and heavy rainfall. Rainfall totals between a quarter and half an inch may fall in a short time, increasing the risk of street flooding.

Low-lying areas, underpasses, and flood-prone roads in Milwaukee, Wauwatosa, and West Allis could see water ponding quickly. Drivers should avoid water-covered roads and allow extra braking distance on slick pavement. Keep devices charged in case of isolated power outages.

Behind the system, cooler air settles in Saturday with highs near 47°F, followed by a brisk but sunny Sunday. Temperatures rebound into the 50s and 60s early next week, hinting at a warmer spring pattern ahead.
