Concord, NH – New Hampshire State Police are renewing calls for public tips in two cold cases tied to May 10 deaths in Somersworth and Wolfeboro, urging anyone with information to come forward as both investigations remain unresolved.

According to New Hampshire State Police, Omar Lyons, 19, died on Thursday, May 10, 1990, from a stab wound to the chest inside his home on Maple Street Extension in Somersworth, Strafford County, near the Portsmouth metro area. Investigators said the medical examiner could not determine whether the death was a homicide or suicide, but circumstances suggested possible foul play.

In a separate case, authorities said Stacey Burns, 41, was found stabbed to death on Sunday, May 10, 2009, inside her home on North Main Street in Wolfeboro, Carroll County, in the Lakes Region. Police described the case as an unsolved homicide, noting that despite an extensive investigation over the years, no one has been charged.

Officials say both cases remain active and are periodically reviewed as new forensic methods and investigative leads emerge. Detectives are asking residents across New Hampshire—especially those in the Seacoast and Lakes Region—to report any information, no matter how small, that could help move the cases forward.

Tips can be submitted to the New Hampshire Cold Case Unit online or by contacting investigators directly. Authorities emphasize that even decades-old details can be critical in solving long-standing cases.
