Winnipeg, MB – A woman in her 60s was robbed at knife point while walking on Smith Street Monday evening. The robbery occurred between 8:30 and 9:00 p.m. near Assiniboine Avenue.
According to the Winnipeg Police Service, two males approached the woman while she walked with a cane. The men threatened her with a knife, stole her purse, and dumped it before fleeing south. The woman recovered her purse and reported the crime to police. She did not require medical assistance.
Police describe one suspect as a white male in his late teens, 5’7”, wearing a black shirt and dark pants. The second suspect is an Indigenous male, also in his late teens, 5’7”, wearing a dark hoodie.

Police are urging the public to remain vigilant when walking in the area.
