New Lenox, IL – The Village of New Lenox and Mokena have issued watering restrictions due to maintenance on a large water main pipeline serving both areas. The repairs will reduce water flow and impact local water tower levels, forcing the restriction.

Starting tonight, officials have asked residents to refrain from outside watering to help maintain adequate water supply. According to a village announcement, water services are expected to return to normal by Sunday afternoon. The community will receive daily updates during the repair process.

The village emphasized the importance of these temporary restrictions to ensure enough water remains for essential services. Officials apologize for any inconvenience and are available to answer questions at the New Lenox Public Works Department, 815-215-4800.

For now, residents are urged to conserve water until repairs are complete.
