Seattle, WA – A significant heatwave is set to grip western Washington, with temperatures forecasted to remain elevated into next week. Residents are advised to take precautions, especially if planning outdoor activities over the weekend.

According to the US National Weather Service Seattle, temperatures will stay high, with major cities like Bremerton and Centralia expecting highs of 92°F on Friday. Bellingham will experience a slightly cooler but still warm 81°F. On Saturday, temperatures will remain in the high 80s, with areas like Bremerton reaching 89°F. Sunday will bring even higher temperatures, with some areas hitting 92°F.

The heatwave will persist into the new week, with Monday’s temperatures slightly lower but still elevated, ranging from 68°F in Hoquiam to 90°F in North Bend. By Tuesday and Wednesday, a slight cooling trend will be noticed, but temperatures will still be above average for this time of year, with highs in the mid-80s in most areas.
