Seneca, IL – A boating accident on Lasalle Lake Sunday afternoon has left two people missing, sparking an urgent rescue operation by local authorities. The Seneca Fire Protection District reported that a boat capsized around 1:30 p.m. near 2651 N 21st Rd, leading to a significant emergency response.
Two individuals were quickly rescued from the water by responding teams, but two others remain unaccounted for. Multiple rescue units, including MABAS Division 15, have been dispatched to the scene to assist in the search. The operation is ongoing, with rescuers scouring the area in an effort to locate the missing boaters.
