Tinley Park, IL – Sidewalk construction along 175th Street is set to cause temporary driveway disruptions in a residential section of Tinley Park starting Sunday.
According to the Village of Tinley Park, Cook County crews will pour new sidewalk along the north side of 175th Street from 67th Avenue to Ridgeland Avenue between May 5 and May 7. As a result, local driveway access will be interrupted for four days to allow concrete to properly cure.
Contractors will directly notify affected homeowners before the work begins. During this period, residents will be required to use alternative parking on nearby side streets, including 67th Avenue, 66th Avenue, 65th Avenue, and 64th Court. Parking will also be permitted in driveway aprons.
The project is part of a broader reconstruction and widening initiative for 175th Street and Ridgeland Avenue. Local officials encourage residents to stay informed by visiting the village’s current projects webpage at www.TinleyPark.org/CurrentProjects.
Residents are urged to plan ahead for the temporary inconvenience and follow all posted signs and contractor guidance for safety and access.
