Frankfort Township, IL – A domestic violence incident Friday evening in Will County resulted in one arrest, multiple agency responses, and a home being deemed uninhabitable.

According to the Will County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded at approximately 6:27 p.m. to a report of a domestic disturbance in progress at a home in the 7200 block of W. Matthews Drive in Frankfort Township. When they arrived, officers were unable to make contact with those inside and had to force entry through a barricaded front door with the assistance of Frankfort Police.

Inside the residence, law enforcement located two individuals. A 30-year-old male was taken into custody and allegedly charged with Domestic Battery and Unlawful Restraint. A 31-year-old female victim and the suspect were both transported to local hospitals for evaluation and treatment.

Due to the condition of the home, Will County Land Use officials determined the property to be uninhabitable. Will County Animal Control removed two pets from the premises for safety and care.

The Will County Sheriff’s Office acknowledged the coordinated efforts of the Frankfort Police Department, Will County Animal Control, Will County Land Use, and the Frankfort Fire Department in managing the response.
