Tornado Watches Issued for Texas Counties Until 7 AM Sunday

Norman, OK – A tornado watch is in effect until 7 a.m. CDT Sunday for multiple Texas counties as severe storms continue to develop overnight. The National Weather Service issued the watch at 11:30 p.m. Saturday, with the potential for tornadoes, damaging winds, and large hail.

Tornado watch 152 includes counties in central and northern Texas, including Collin, Dallas, Denton, Tarrant, Parker, Johnson, Wise, Fannin, Grayson, Erath, and more. These areas face the risk of tornado-producing storms through the early morning hours, with the highest risk expected between 12 a.m. and 7 a.m. CDT.

Other counties impacted by this watch include Comanche, Cooke, Eastland, Hamilton, Hood, Jack, Mills, Montague, Palo Pinto, and Somervell. Residents in these areas should remain on alert and monitor local weather reports for real-time updates.

In addition, tornado watch 151 is in effect for counties in southwestern Texas until 5 a.m. CDT Sunday, including Brown, Kerr, Tom Green, Val Verde, Irion, Mason, and Menard. These areas are also under the threat of severe storms with possible hail and strong winds.
