San Angelo, Texas – Expect cooler than usual temperatures to persist across much of Texas through this weekend, with the possibility of brief showers or thunderstorms Thursday. According to the National Weather Service, the bulk of rain chances will remain confined to areas south of Interstate 20. However, by next week, much warmer weather is forecast to sweep through the state, with some areas potentially hitting triple-digit temperatures by Tuesday.

The weather pattern over the next few days will remain relatively mild. Maximum temperatures are expected to range from the upper 70s to mid-80s in many regions, including cities like Abilene, San Angelo, and Junction, through the weekend. Lows will be cooler, dipping into the low 50s to mid-60s across the area.

By Monday, temperatures will begin to rise noticeably, reaching the 90s in cities like San Angelo, Brady, and Sweetwater. By Tuesday, many areas could experience highs near 97°F. While Thursday brings a 20% to 30% chance of rain, the weekend is expected to remain mostly sunny and dry.

Residents are encouraged to enjoy the cooler conditions while they last, but prepare for a significant warm-up midweek. With the rapid temperature changes, be ready to adjust your outdoor activities and stay hydrated as the heat intensifies.
