Austin, TX – A cold weather advisory remains in effect through Friday at 9 a.m., with freezing temperatures and wind chills as low as 13 degrees in some areas. Residents should take precautions to stay warm and protect pets, plants, and pipes from the freezing conditions.

According to the National Weather Service (NWS), wind chills could drop as low as 18 degrees along the Interstate 35 corridor, including Austin, and even colder in the Hill Country. Frostbite and hypothermia are risks if skin is exposed for extended periods.
