The National Weather Service has issued a Cold Weather Advisory through 10 a.m. Friday, warning of potential hypothermia risks if proper precautions aren’t taken.

According to the National Weather Service in Amarillo, temperatures will stay below freezing overnight, with Friday morning bringing the coldest conditions of the week. A gradual warming trend will follow, with highs reaching the 70s by Monday, but frigid temperatures will persist through the weekend.

Friday: Becoming sunny with a high near 38°F. Southwest winds at 10–15 mph.

Friday Night: Mostly clear, low around 20°F.

Saturday: High of 58°F with early wind chills near 11°F.

Sunday: Sunny, high of 64°F with light winds.

Monday: High of 72°F, marking a significant warm-up.
