Nashville, TN – Residents across middle Tennessee are advised to prepare for freezing temperatures Friday night into Saturday morning, as a frost advisory blankets the region. Sensitive vegetation and outdoor pets are at risk as areas along I-40, including Nashville and Clarksville, could experience temperatures as low as 30°F.

According to the National Weather Service (NWS) in Nashville, winds are expected to die down overnight, leading to widespread frost. Residents are urged to bring in pets and cover plants before nightfall to prevent damage. With lows expected to dip into the mid-30s tonight, frost could settle by early morning Saturday.

Saturday will see a slight warming trend with sunny skies and highs reaching 56°F. Calm winds will help melt any frost by mid-morning. Overnight lows, however, will remain chilly, hovering around 35°F. By Sunday, temperatures will climb further, with a high of 60°F under sunny skies, providing a brief reprieve from the cold.

Looking ahead to Thanksgiving week, rain chances return Monday, with a 50% chance of showers, rising to 70% by Monday night. Highs will peak near 69°F before another cooldown Tuesday, where mostly sunny skies are expected with highs in the low 50s.

Drivers along I-40 and surrounding areas should remain cautious of slick roads early Saturday morning. For those planning Thanksgiving travel, monitor updates for potential rain disruptions.

Stay prepared and keep an eye on changing weather conditions to protect your property and loved ones this weekend.
