Fond du Lac County, WI – A serious motorcycle crash Tuesday evening left an 18-year-old man hospitalized after he was found unconscious in a ravine near Taycheedah.

According to the Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office, the crash happened around 6:54 p.m. on April 21, 2026, near W4437 Golf Course Drive in the Town of Taycheedah. Authorities say a 911 call reported the incident, prompting deputies along with Mount Calvary Fire and Ambulance to respond.

Upon arrival, first responders located the rider approximately 30 yards down a ravine. Officials said the man was unconscious but breathing. Due to the severity of his injuries, a Flight for Life helicopter was requested. The rider, identified only as an 18-year-old Fond du Lac man, was transported to ThedaCare Regional Medical Center in Neenah.

Investigators say the motorcycle was traveling eastbound on Golf Course Drive when the operator allegedly failed to maintain control, entering the south ditch. The bike struck a culvert and trees before overturning and coming to rest at the bottom of the ravine. Authorities confirmed the rider was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.

Golf Course Drive was temporarily closed between Highway 151 and Red Fox Run for approximately 45 minutes as crews worked the scene. Additional assistance was provided by City of Fond du Lac Ambulance.

Officials say speed is believed to be a factor in the crash, which remains under investigation.
