Pendleton, OR – The National Weather Service (NWS) in Pendleton reports that a Wind Advisory remains in effect through 11 p.m. Sunday for areas of the Eastern Columbia River Gorge in both Oregon and Washington.

According to forecasters, west winds of 25 to 35 mph with gusts up to 55 mph will continue through the evening, affecting cities including The Dalles, Arlington, Hermiston, Boardman, White Salmon, Goldendale, and Bickleton.

The NWS warns that gusty winds may blow around unsecured outdoor objects, and tree limbs could break, potentially leading to isolated power outages. High-profile vehicles such as trucks, trailers, and RVs should use extreme caution when traveling through the Gorge and along Interstate 84.

Wind conditions are expected to ease late Sunday night as the pressure gradient weakens. Residents are encouraged to secure outdoor items and monitor local weather updates for the latest advisories.
