Residents should also be prepared for large hail, with some hailstones possibly reaching 2.5 inches in diameter.
According to the NWS, storms are expected to develop along and south of the Kansas/Oklahoma border throughout the late evening. The weather conditions are favorable for the formation of organized storm clusters and supercells, increasing the likelihood of severe weather.
