Houston, TX – A major fire erupted Thursday morning at the Tia Pancha Flea Market on Airline Drive, leading to the hospitalization of two individuals. The fire, which broke out around mid-morning, quickly engulfed several market structures. Firefighters from the Little York Fire Department responded rapidly, working to control the blaze and extinguish it, though hot spots persisted into the afternoon.

One civilian was transported to a local hospital for smoke inhalation, and a firefighter sustained second-degree burns while battling the flames. According to Harris County Sheriff Ed Gonzalez, the firefighter is in stable condition.

The Harris County Fire Marshal’s Office is currently on the scene, investigating the cause of the fire. Meanwhile, Airline Drive remains closed, with traffic being diverted down West Road and Aldine Mail Route. The road closures are expected to last for four to five hours, causing significant disruption in the area.
