Paducah, KY – The arrival of a cold front across Kentucky and nearby areas will bring widespread showers and isolated thunderstorms through midweek. Forecasters predict rainfall across southeastern Missouri, southwest Illinois, and parts of Kentucky beginning late Monday night and lasting through Thursday.
According to the National Weather Service in Paducah, showers will start late Monday with lows around 60-68 degrees. By Tuesday, rain and thunderstorms will intensify, affecting most of the region with highs ranging from 68 in the west to 80 in the east. The storms could bring between 1-1.5 inches of rainfall, particularly in southern Illinois and western Kentucky.
The pattern will persist into Wednesday, with temperatures dipping into the 60s. By Thursday, further cooling is expected, with highs only reaching the 60s and lows dropping to the mid-40s. The weather service advises residents to stay alert for potential storm hazards and prepare for cooler conditions through the end of the week.
