Cheyenne, WY – Southeast Wyoming is under a Red Flag Warning through Saturday evening, as fire risks escalate due to dry conditions and strong winds. Gusts of up to 50 mph are expected, particularly in Carbon County.

According to the National Weather Service in Cheyenne, these hazardous conditions are set to continue through Monday. On Saturday, temperatures will range from the mid-80s to upper 90s across the region, with mostly clear skies transitioning to partly cloudy by afternoon.

Isolated to scattered showers and thunderstorms are possible east of the Laramie Range on Saturday afternoon. The forecast indicates these patterns will persist into Sunday, with slightly cooler temperatures. Winds will remain a concern, with gusts peaking at 35 mph on Sunday.

Looking ahead to Monday, temperatures will moderate slightly, with highs in the 70s and 80s, while wind speeds are expected to decrease. Scattered showers may continue east of the Laramie Range, but the Red Flag Warning is expected to expire.
