Smoke from Canadian Wildfires to Affect Eastern Ohio and Western Pennsylvania Weather

Pittsburgh, PA – Eastern Ohio and Western Pennsylvania will experience a warm and comfortable day with plenty of sunshine, as a plume of smoke from the Canadian wildfires moves southward across the region. High temperatures are expected to reach the low to mid-80s, with a hazy sky possibly affecting visibility and air quality.

According to the US National Weather Service in Pittsburgh, the smoke from the wildfires could impact temperatures, depending on the thickness of the smoke and how long it lingers. Despite the haze, temperatures will remain slightly above normal.

For the rest of the week, the forecast shows rising temperatures. Saturday will see a high of 88 degrees, while Sunday and Monday are expected to reach 92 degrees. The beginning of next week brings a slight chance of rain, with temperatures cooling to 86 degrees on Tuesday. The remainder of the week will stay warm, with highs ranging from the mid-80s to low 90s.

Air quality remains good, with an index of 49, similar to previous days. Residents are advised to stay updated on air quality levels, especially those with respiratory conditions.
